Today, this school district is ranked as 27 out of the 117 school districts that make up the Connecticut school system. It is also ranked as the fifth best school district in New Haven County.

4. Hop Brook Lake

Hop Brook Lake is a popular recreational area that reaches across Middlebury, Naugatuck, and Waterbury. With an enormous span of over 536 acres, this area offers everything. From picnicking to hiking, canoeing and kayaking to swimming and fishing, this is a hub for some summer fun in the sun! In addition, the park also has electrical outlets and charcoal grills within its picnic shelters, so you can meet up with a few families and grill after a long day of activities. Some other features of the park include restrooms, water fountains, volleyball courts, a baseball field, and horseshoe pits. This park is a great place to meet friends and enjoy the great outdoors!
