The Roosevelt Forest is wonderful for people who love the outdoors. Located at the end of Peters Lane, this forest has over 400 acres of land and is perfect for hiking, biking, and picnicking. In fact, it's awesomely designed for recreational activities while preserving much of its natural beauty and wildlife. While people enjoy cooking with fire pits, and setting up picnics, the winter gives opportunities to ski and snowshoe!

2. Beach Fun!

If you love the beach, then you're in luck! Stratford has two beaches open to residents and their guests, Long Beach and Short Beach. Both are great for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and boating. And if you want to learn how to surf, paddleboard, or kayak, the town offers lessons! Long Beach stretches over a mile and a half long, and is easily reachable by car. Short Beach is a fisherman's paradise, where snapper bluefish are common catches. Plus, Short Beach has complexes with a golf course, baseball fields, and courts for basketball and tennis.

3. Historic Greatness

Between Stratford's Historical Society Cast David Judson House, and the Stratford Antique Center, there is a lot to explore in Stratford's rich history. The David Judson House was built in 1712 and is open for tours from April until November. The Stratford Antique Center is the perfect place to find a hidden treasure.
